Esther Clark
Chapin - Services for Esther Amick Clark, 73, will be held at 2 p.m.
Friday, January 28, 2000 at Bethel Lutheran Church with burial in the
church cemetery. The Rev. Al Potter will officiate. Active pallbearers
will be G.O. Boone, Carroll David, Derriel Amick, Earl Stalbaum, Michael
Shealy, and Randy Epting. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Bethel
Lutheran Church Council. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to
the Alzheimer's Association, Bethel Lutheran Church, or Saluda Nursing
Center.
Mrs. Clark died Tuesday, January 25, 2000. Born in Chapin, she was a
daughter of the late Perry C. and Lila Eargle Amick. She was a member of
Bethel Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was very
active with youth programs and other church activities.
Surviving are her husband, Richard R. Clark; daughter, Linda E. Nelson of
West Colum;bia; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Lacy Sidbury of
Charleston; grandson, Lacy Carlin Sidbury of Charleston; brother and
sister-in-law, Richard L. and Dorothy D. Amick of Chapin; sister and
brother-in-law, Julia and Jim Haack of Chapin; a number of nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Karl H. Epting,
brothers, Lonnie C., Olin O. and Joseph E. Amick, and her son-in-law,
Michael E. Nelson.
