    Ser Arys Oakheart is a knight of the Kingsguard for King Robert Baratheon, and later for his son Joffrey Baratheon and his heirs. Joffrey's younger sister, Myrcella Baratheon, is sent to Dorne, after Joffrey's death, and Arys is her assigned protector. 
    
    Arys has been seduced by Arianne Martell to rebel against the Iron Throne and support Myrcella's claim over her younger brother, Tommen Baratheon. When the conspiracy is uncovered, Arys is killed by Areo Hotah, the captain of Doran's guard.
