    A simple-minded, giant stableboy whose name comes from the only word he ever says, “Hodor.”  Old Nan is his great-grandmother, and the only blood-relation of his still in Winterfell.
    
    Hodor is 7 feet tall, mentally-challenged, and loyal protector of Bran Stark, who he carries on his back in a basket since Bran's legs were crippled in his fall at Winterfell (at the hands of Jaimie Lannister)
