  • JG029873:The "Iacob şi Carolina Loebel" Jewish secondary school for boys nr.2,
    has been nationalized (after 1948) by the communist regim and renamed as "Elementary School nr.74" !
    RevMea(p14):The Popular University of U.E.R. (="Uniunea Evreilor din România"), had been founded here, in 1921AD, by Dr.W.Filderman, the president of "Uniunea Evreilor Pământeni" (renamed later: "Uniunea Evreilor Români"). Its courses had been held in one of its classrooms. Its first teaching staff included:
