    St. Joseph's Burial notice has age as 58 birth 23 Sep 1827
    
    Hi John,
    
    Based on 1840 census data, William could only have been the son of William
    H. M. Garner who was living in the 4th Dist. of Charles Co.  There were only
    three families with that surname, two in the 1st Dist., one of whom was
    Richard, but he had no sons.  He was, however, living next door to Charles
    Stuart.  Sarah Garner had no sons of the right age.
    
    William H. M. Garner:  1M 5-10; 2M 10-15; 2M 20-30; 1M 50-60; 1F 40-50.
