March 188 lists a son John R. Riggs, Craven county, N. Car. will book D, pg. number unreadable.
Only John R. Riggs in 1850 census age 40 and therefore, born abt. 1810 some 4 years before
marriage of Jesse to Mary? May be more than one Jesse and more than one John R?
Craven county marriages shows a John R. Riggs marrying Sally A. Wise 27 June 1844.
This could be the John R. married to a Sarah much younger than he, if so his older children are
likely to be from a previous wife.
