Thanks to your replies to my Attaway questions. I've just begun to build an
Attaway database. As both of you can see from your research, the Attaway women
gave their maiden names as middle names to their children (and probably
grandchildren got the Attaway name, too). John Attaway had 5 daughters & there
seems to be a lot of Attaway middle names from these women. I'm hoping to
connect one of their descendents to a Swann or ? to get my Margaret Attaway
(Swann) Dyson. We don't know the maiden name of Zachariah Swann's wife Mary
or, for that matter, Zachariah Swann's parents so there's a lot of work to
do!! So far I have the following:
