Vincent was born in 1843 in Saint Martin.  Vincent's father was Johannes Willem Van Romondt and his mother was Judith Rink Tielenius (Kruythoff). He had five brothers and five sisters, named Willem, John, Philogene, Thomas, Everhardus, Sarah, Anna, Susan, Judith and Juliette Isabel.  He was the third youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 56 in 1899 in Saint Martin.
