Anna was born in 1822 in Aruba.  Anna's father was Anna Margaretha Blasse( Blasius) and her mother was Carel  Ponsen (Ponson).  Her paternal grandparents were Johan Casper Blasius (Blasse) and Anna Pietertje Daal. She had five brothers and a sister, named Johannes, Charles, August, Albert, Frederick and Catharina.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 73 in 1895 in Aruba.
