Erik was born in 1757.  Erik's father was Matts Eriksson Bjon and his mother was Sofia Mattsdotter Kärr.  His paternal grandparents were Erik Eriksson Bjon (Orava) and Lisa Eriksdotter Bjon.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 46 in 1803.
