Ferenc was born on October 20th, 1781 in Vácszentmihály.1  Ferenc's father was Ádám Drobny and his mother was Anna Gram.  His paternal grandparents were György Drobny and Katalin Zilinsky. He had a brother and five sisters, named Károly, Anna, Anna, Erzsébet, Johanna and Julianna.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.
