József Asbóth

József was born in September 1778 in Szany Sopron vm and his baptism took place there on September 30th, 1778.¹   József's father was György Asbóth and his mother was Katalin Horváth.  His paternal grandparents were Pál Asbóth and Katalin Gasztonyi. He had three brothers and two sisters, named István, György, István, Erzsébet and Katalin.  He was the third oldest of the six children.
