Gyula was born on February 11th, 1893 in Pankota.¹

Gyula's father was Gyula Asbóth and his mother was Terézia Horváth.  His paternal grandparents were Sándor Asbóth and Vilma Asbóth. He had four brothers and a sister, named Gyula, Oszkár, Oszkár, Tibor and Laurencia.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 80 in 1973.²
