Erzsébet's father was György Asbóth and her mother was Erzsébet Bogár.  Her paternal grandparents were György Asbóth and Mária Masnyák. She had a brother and a sister, named György and Éva.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named György and Katalin.
