Elena Protopopescu 
Elena was born in Buzau and her christening took place there conducted by the priest. Elena's father was Nae Protopopescu and her mother was Doroteea (Dorica) Ionescu Protopopescu. Her maternal grandparents were Apostol Ionescu and ? Ionescu. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Costica, Petrica, Gica, Nicu, Margareta and Virginia. She died due to natural causes or old age in 1976. The funeral took place in Bucuresti. Her body was entombed in Bucuresti.-

Dupa ce Margareta Prassa a ramas vaduva, Elena s-a mutat impreuna cu ea, la Buzau. Apoi s-au mutat amandoua la tanti Lenuta - nevasta lui nenea Misu Apostoleanu, ramasa vaduva - in Bucuresti. Catalina isi aduce aminte ca, impreuna cu Ana, Lenuta, Costin si Sanda se duceau in vizita la matusile Margareta, Elena si Lenuta. Pe drum, parintii o instruiau pe Catalina sa nu ceara dulceata pentru ca nu este frumos sa faca asta. Dar, imediat ce ajungeau, Catalina spunea: "Da' mie mi-e sete!". Si atunci, matusile se grabeau sa serveasca o dulceata, cu apa rece - desigur.
Dupa ce tanti Lenuta s-a prapadit si casa a fost demolata(in programul comunist de reconstructie a Bucurestiului) Margareta si Elena s-au mutat in cartierul bucurestean Drumul Taberei. S-au prapadit in 1975 - 1976.
