Constantin (Puiu) Popovici

Constantin, known as Puiu, was born in 1921 in Mizil and his christening was conducted by the priest.  Puiu's father was Ioan(Ionel) Popovici and his mother was Victoria Ionescu Popovici.  His paternal grandparents were Constantin Popovici and Pauna Popovici; his maternal grandparents were Vasile (Cutitarul) Ionescu and Aneta Ionescu. He had a brother and two sisters, named Nelu, Tanti and Olga.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 70 on November 21st, 1991 in Ploiesti.  The funeral took place in Bucuresti.  His body was entombed in Ploiesti.
