Nicolae, known as Nicu, was born on February 4th, 1919 in Buzau and his christening took place there conducted by the priest.^1 2   His godfather was Petreche Gheorghiu and his godmother was Elena Gheorghiu.  Nicu's father was Bucur Constantinescu and his mother was Virginia Ionescu (Constantinescu).  His paternal grandparents were Neculai Constantinescu and Ana Constantinescu; his maternal grandparents were Apostol  Ionescu and ? Ionescu. He had a brother and five sisters, named Petrica, Lenuta, Maria, Ana, Aurica and Milica.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.  He died from a heart attack at the age of 90 on July 8th, 2009 in Pitesti.  The funeral took place on July 11th, 2009 in Pitesti.  His body was entombed on July 11th, 2009 in Pitesti.
