    MIDDLEBURG -- Dennis R. Reigle, 58, of 45 S. Main St., passed away on Sunday evening, July 26, 2009, at his home after a brief battle with cancer.
    
    He was born May 6, 1951, in Lewisburg, a son of Lois M. (Treaster) Thompson of Shamokin Dam and the late Joseph S. Reigle Sr. On May 30, 1975, he married the former Linda K. Musser, who survives.
    
    Dennis was a 1969 graduate of Middleburg High School.
    
    He had been employed at the Middleburg Post Printing Co. and Wood-Mode, Kreamer. He and his wife also operated the Middleburg Office Supply, and he later was employed by the Country Print Shop, Middleburg, until disability forced his retirement.
    
    He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Middleburg, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1229, Middleburg, where he was currently serving as administrator at the time of his passing. He previously served as governor and was awarded the Fellowship Degree. He was a lifetime member of the Reliance Hose Company, Middleburg, and a member of the Union County Sportsman Club, Weikert.
    
    Dennis enjoyed attending antiques auctions and flea markets, and he collected Hoosier cabinets.
    
    In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Kevin J. Reigle of Chanet, Kan.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Doug Wingard of Woodward; two granddaughters, Brittany and Brooke; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph S. Jr. and Debra Reigle of Middleburg; two sisters, Carol J. Sheaffer of Shamokin Dam and Melissa A. Reigle and companion Jeffery Whitesel of Mifflinburg; and his faithful companion, his dog, Molly.
    
    He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Carey Sheaffer.
    
    Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Main Street, Middleburg, with the Rev. William D. Jones officiating.
    
    Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.
    
    In honor of Dennis' devotion to the Moose fraternity, contributions may be made to Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1229, 235 Grand St., Middleburg, PA 17842, for distribution to Moose Charities.
