  • Mrs. Martha H. Gearhart
    SUNBURY - Mrs. Martha H. Gearhart, 80, of Sunbury RD2, died Friday at 10:50 am in the Sunbury Community Hospital. Prior to her admittance in the hosiptal she was a resident of the Mansion Convalescent Home, Sunbury.
    
    She and her husband, Clarence, whom she married in 1920, owned and operated the former Gearhart Dairy Store at Sunbury RD2.
    
    Born in Milton, Oct. 25, 1900 she was a daughter of the late Lester ans Susan Herrold Derr.
    
    Mrs. Gearhart was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Sunbury RD4.
    
    In addtition to her husband, she is survived by a son Robert of Shamokin Dam; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters, Paul Derr of Sunbury, Ralp Derr, Arthur Derr and Mrs. Doris Wagner, all of Milton, Harry Derr of McEwensville and Joseph Derr of Sunbury RD3.
    
    Ther funeral will be conducted at 2pm Monday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, Sunbury, by Rev. Vitolds Gobins. Burial will be in the United Lutheran Cemetery, Sunbury RD4.
    
    Friends may call in the funeral home Monday from 1 pm until the time of service.
    
    Contributions in her memory may be made to the memorial fund of the United Lutheran Church, Sunbury RD4.
