- By 1870 he was living in Sandy Creek, Oswego County, NY in the household of his father, Henry, a stonecutter who was born in Rhode Island. William was also a stonecutter and the fifth generation in that trade. He was likely married to a woman named Augusta, per the 1880 census, and still living in Sandy Creek, but by the 1900 census, was living in Syracuse, married to Eva and had 2 children, Ida and Emily. By 1910 he was a manager of a monument company and had 4 chldren, including a son Frederick (who must have died in childhood) and a daughter Ruth.
William is no longer alive.
