Chaya was born in 1923.  Chaya's father was Yona Werter and her mother was Ita Ziffer.  Her paternal grandparents were Berisch Werter and Gitel ?; her maternal grandparents were  Ziffer died when Israel was infant and  Sara Pesel Soler.  She was the youngest of three children.  She had two sisters named Bluma and Rachel.  She died due to murder / assassination.
