Rufo was born on 19-Apr-1911 in Fuentelisenda (Burgos). Rufo's father was Juan Juarranz and his mother was Hermenegilda Martín. He was the oldest of four children. He had a brother and two sisters, named Ignacio, Rosario and Sofía. He died, at the age of 49, on 19-Nov-1960 in Matapozuelos (Valladolid).
