József was born on September 14th, 1926 in Nógrád.1   József's father was Plachy András and his mother was Emmer Verona.  His paternal grandparents were Plachi András and Szabó Veronika. He had two brothers and two sisters, named András, Ferenc, Veronika and Margit.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died due to a medical problem, májzsugor, at the age of 50 on November 12th, 1976 in Nógrád.1
