Plachy István

István was born on July 7th, 1837 in Losonc and his christening took place there conducted by Pastor Fretska Sámuel ev. lelkész.^1 2   His godfather was Jeszenszky Sámuel and his godmother was Kovács Szabina.

István's father was Plachy, János and his mother was Bernáth, Mária.  His paternal grandparents were Plachy András and Kuna Anna. He had five brothers and two sisters, named András, János, András, János, János, Erzsébet and Zsuzsanna.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died due to a medical problem, idegláz, at the age of 4 on June 4th, 1842 in Losonc.  He was buried on June 6th, 1842 in Losonctamási (Tomasovce).^2 2
