Karola was born on October 23rd, 1890.  Karola's father was Adolph Thalheimer and her mother was Pauline Holzinger.  Her maternal grandparents were Abraham Holzinger and Karoline Auerbach.  She had three brothers and a sister, named Alfred, Louis, Friedrich Albert and Selma.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children.  She died at 6 months old on April 30th, 1891.
