Friedrich Heinrich Leopold was born in 1766. Friedrich Heinrich Leopold's father was Albrecht Anhalt, von and his mother was Sophie Luise Henriette Wedel, von. His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm Gustav Anhalt-Dessau, von and Johanna Sophie Herre. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Friedrich Heinrich Wilhelm, August Gustav, Friederike Ferdinandine Wilhelmine and Luise. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 44 in 1810.
