Elizabeth was born about 1843 in Frindsbury, Kent, England.1   Elizabeth's father is Nathaniel Browning and her mother is Caroline Pearse. She has four brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, George, John, Eliza, Caroline and Anne.  She is the fourth oldest of the eight children.
