Anne was born about 1846 in Frindsbury, Kent, England.1   Anne's father is Nathaniel Browning and her mother is Caroline Pearse. She has four brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, George, John, Eliza, Caroline and Elizabeth.  She is the sixth oldest of the eight children.
