Penelope Ashley Cooper

Penelope was born in 1656 in , Dorset, , England. Penelope's father was 1st Earl of Shaftsbury Anthony of Shaftsbury Ashley-Cooper and her mother was Margaret Spencer. Her paternal grandparents were Sir John of Rockburne Cooper and Anne Elizabeth Ashley; her maternal grandparents are William Spencer, 2nd Baron Spencer of Wormleighton and Lady Penelope Wriothesley. She had a sister named Lucretia. She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named 2nd Earl Shaftsbury Anthony, Lucretia and Sarah. She died at the age of 55 in 1711 in St Peters, New Kent, Virginia, United States.
