Michael was born on May 8th, 1867.  Michael's father was Patrick McGloin and his mother was Margaret Larkin.  His maternal grandparents were Michael Larkin and Bridget Mulrooney. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Edward, Mary and Delia.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
