Elizabeth was born in 1659.  Elizabeth's father was Alexander Standish and her mother was Sarah Alden (Standish).  Her paternal grandparents were Myles Standish and Barbara Mullens or Allen; her maternal grandparents were John Alden and Priscilla Mullins (Alden).  She had three brothers and four sisters, named Miles, Ebenezer, David , Lydia, Lora, Mercy and Sarah.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ichabod, Thomas and Desire.
