Hannah was born in 1742.  Hannah's father was Isaac Sampson and her mother was Elizabeth Hodges (Sampson).  Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Sampson and Lydia Standish (Sampson).  She had two brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, Jacob, Anna, Eizabeth and Phebe.  She was the fourth oldest of the six children.  She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Uriah, John, Hannah, Sarah, Margaret and Lydia.
