William was born in October 1827 in Ireland.  William's father was Michael O'Hara and his mother was Ann (O'Hara).  He had two brothers and three sisters, named Patrick, John, Mary, Catherine and Margaret.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 77 on August 19th, 1905 in Little Falls, NY.
