Elizabeth was born on October 19th, 1912.  Elizabeth's father was Michael Ashe and her mother was Bridget Murphy (Ashe).  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Ashe and Mary Hassett or Holly (Ashe). She had five brothers and a sister, named Jim, Thomas, Bob, Willard, John and Mildred.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 85 in 1997.
