Ronald was born in June 1922.  Ronald's father was Archibald Turner and his mother was Edith Mary Rigby.  His paternal grandparents were John Turner and Alice Martha Pritchard. He had two sisters named Phyllis and Elsie.  He is the second oldest of the three children.
