Ruth Stocks

Ruth was born on May 25th, 1806 in Huddersfield and her christening took place on July 27th, 1806 in High St. Chapel Methodist New Connexion.¹

Ruth's father was George Stocks and her mother was Mary Blackburn. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth (Betty) Shaw; her maternal grandparents were Matthew (Matt) Blackburn and Mary Sykes. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Michael, Job, Betty, Esther, Susannah and Esther. She was the youngest of the eight children.

General Notes
- Only marriage I can find is between Ruth Stocks and John Howarth, 14-Mar-1833 at Mirfield. This is about 8 miles from Berry Brow on the other side of Huddersfield, so is not a good match, but the only one we have!
