Hannah was born in 1781 in Almondbury and her christening took place there on July 8th, 1781.1  Hannah's father was John Stocks and her mother was Sarah Gledhill . She had six brothers and four sisters, named Richard, John, Richard, Noah, David, James, Betty, Mary, Sarah and Phebe.  She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
