Joseph Smith

Joseph was born in 1890 in Keighley.¹ Joseph's father was William Smith and his mother was Lucy Alma Hill. His paternal grandparents were Henry Smith and Sarah Amy Pickles; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Hill and Mary Walton. He had four brothers and a sister, named Harry, Arthur, Percy, Ernest and Ethel. He was the youngest of the six children.
