Miles Shuttleworth

Miles was born on June 27th, 1879 at 9 Nell Street and his baptism took place on August 6th, 1879 at St. Pauls (Astley Bridge).¹²

Miles' father was Samuel Shuttleworth and his mother was Lois Pollitt. His paternal grandparents were Phineas Shuttleworth and Happy Mather; his maternal grandparents were William Pollitt and Ester Holt. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Phineas, Samuel, Albert, Happy, Lois, Annie, Jessie, Mary and Alice. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Coma, the result of Cerebral Haemorrhage probably following an injury to his head caused by bumping against a fallen pod on a self-acting member. Accidental Death PM, at the age of 55 on November 7th, 1934 in Bolton.¹
