Martha Roebuck

Martha was born about December 1838 in Almondbury and her christening took place on October 20th, 1839 in Netherthong.¹²

Martha's father was John Roebuck and her mother was Rebecca Tate. Her maternal grandparents were William Tate and Susannah Stocks. She had two sisters named Elizabeth and Eliza. She was the youngest of the three children.

- There is also another Martha Roebuck, daughter of Eli and Harriot, born the same year in Almondbury.
  
  Martha may have had a twin, Mary who died as a baby. Mar was Christened on the same day but never made it on the 1841 census.
