Louisa was born in 1807 in Bolton and her christening took place on January 4th, 1807 at St. Peters (Bolton).1  Louisa's father was Richard Pollitt and her mother was Mary Davenport. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Miles, Richard, William, Mary and Anna.  She was the oldest of the six children.
