Mary Mather

Mary was born on November 24th, 1839 in Bolton and her christening took place there on December 5th, 1854.¹²

  The only Mary Mathers born in 1839 had Mothers of maiden name SMITH, DEARDEN, HARTLEY and RYDER.

Mary's father was James Mather and her mother was Alice Taylor. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Happy Lomax. She had a brother and two sisters, named James, Hannah and Betsy. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 56 on August 30th, 1896 in Bolton.²
