Mary was born in 1828 in Bingley.1  Mary's father was Isaac Ickeringill and her mother was Hannah Driver.  Her paternal grandparents were John Ickeringill and Mary Medley. She had two brothers and a sister, named Ellis, David and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother named John.  She died at the age of 55 in December 1883 in Keighley.2
