Mary Jane Hughes

Mary was born on February 14th, 1880 in Birkenhead.¹ Mary's father was William Hughes and her mother was Lucy Eddowes. Her maternal grandparents were Edmund (Edwin) Harry Eddowes and Mary Dawson. She was an only child. She died at the age of 86 in 1966 in Birkenhead.¹

General Notes
- Mary Janes mother, Lucy, died young so Mary Jane was probably brought up by her uncle Edmund (and his wife Hannah) who she was with in 1891. Mary Jane married Owen Stanton in 1897, and in 1901 uncle Edmund died. Hannah then came to stay with the Stanton family (in 1901), till Hannah also died in 1906.
