William (Bill) Hale

William, known as Bill, was born in March 1886 in Birkenhead.¹

Bill's father was Thomas Hale and his mother was Anne Brereton. His maternal grandparents were Richard Brereton and Esther Eddowes. He had six brothers and four sisters, named George, Dave, Tom, Jack, Ted, Henry, Mary, Aggie, Annie and Flo. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 71 in 1957.²
