Catherine Greenhalgh

Catherine was born in 1844 in Westhoughton and her christening took place on December 1st, 1844 at Deane Parish Church.¹²

Catherine's father was Thomas Greenhalgh and her mother was Mary Grundy. She had two brothers and five sisters, named James, William, Margaret, Alice, Mary, Catherine and Rebecca. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died about 1853.

- Only "C Greehhalgh", age 5, Scholar in 1851 census, but Deane Christening records confirm she is Catherine (the same as a later sister).
