Mary Jane Eddowes

Mary was born in June 1874 in Birkenhead.¹

Mary's father was Thomas Eddowes and her mother was Mary Ann Hughes. Her paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Holt. She had three sisters named Louisa, Elizabeth and Minnie. She was the second youngest of the four children.

- Mary Eddowes (aged 18) was in service, working for John and Margaret Allen and family in St Catherine, Tranmere, Birkenhead in 1891.
  
  Mary Jane Eddowes probably married Thomas Davies in Lancashire in 1896 (Walton, W. Derby) or Robert W Dodds in 1897 (Chorlton, Manchester).
