Susannah Bury

Susannah was born in 1836 in Darwen.¹

Birth Notes
- Aged 25 on 1861 census
  Born: Tockoles, Lancashire, England
  
  Shoulkd read Tockholes, which is where Darwen Golf Club stands today, near Erndale Reservoir. Born Tockholes, Darwen, and birth registered in Blackburn.

Susannah's father was Oliver Bury and her mother was Phoebe Almond. She had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Oliver, John, Betty, Mary, Pheobe and Martha. She was the third oldest of the eight children.

General Notes
- Another Susannah from Tockholes married another John Brooks (see 1881 & 1891 census), so there may be an error in this tree. However, Susannah and John did have Oliver, Mary, Pheobe and Martha Bury living with them in 1861.
