Josiah was born about 1768 in Oldham and his christening took place there on April 5th, 1768.1  Josiah's father was Benjamin Buckley and his mother was Sarah Ogden(?). He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, John, Mary and Ann.  He was the third oldest of the five known children.
