Tatje (Mathilda) was born on October 7th, 1860 in Holtrop, Aurich, Lower Saxony, Germany.  Tatje (Mathilda)'s father was <Unknown> and her mother was <Unknown>. She had two sisters named Fentje and Metha.  She died at the age of 80 on March 10th, 1941 in Wymore, Gage County, Nebraska.

Tatje (Mathilda) and Johann were married in a religious ceremony on April 15th, 1877. They had four sons and five daughters, named Thomas, Herman, Karl, John, Mattie, Harmina, Nanka, Johanna and Lena.
